KYLE RUTZ is a managing member and the CEO of the General Partner and Trading Advisor and is responsible, alongside Peter Kassel, for the overall management and direction of the General Partner and the Partnership.
Mr. Rutz became a CFTC-listed principal of the General Partner on March 18, 2024, and a CFTC-registered Associated Person in such capacity on April 9, 2024. Mr. Rutz became a NFA Associate Member and Forex Associated Person of the General Partner on April 9, 2024.
Mr. Rutz boasts a distinguished career that spans across technology and artificial intelligence for banking, before venturing into the establishment of his own firm. During his tenure in investment banking, he spearheaded a transformative era by integrating cutting‑edge technological solutions into finance. These innovations reshaped the approach to buy side investment banking. His interest in trading, which began in college, quickly evolved into a commitment to developing proprietary algorithms. This phase was crucial for deepening his understanding of market dynamics and for crafting algorithms that not only enhanced trading efficiency but also meticulously managed risk. This skill set proved vital in the high‑stakes environment of hedge funds. He went on to build and utilize thousands of algorithms which has been pivotal to his growth as a trader. In 2021, Mr. Rutz began a collaboration with Luca Laurienzo, a principal of the General Partner and Trading Advisor, renowned for having some of the top‑ranked algorithmic trading results and for selling his algorithms to top banks for millions dollars. This partnership has elevated Kyle’s capabilities, enabling the development of cutting‑edge investment strategies utilizing machine learning and innovative development processes that uniquely combine their collective insights and expertise. As the CEO of the General Partner and Trading Advisor, Mr. Rutz leverages his multifaceted expertise to navigate complex financial markets. He prioritizes risk management alongside innovative investment strategies to secure and grow his clients’ assets. From June 2016 to September 2017, Mr. Rutz was employed with automotive company General Motors Corporation, Warren, MI as a Data Analyst where he distinguished himself early on by utilizing complex algorithms and machine learning techniques to analyze data in innovative ways. This foundational experience was pivotal in developing his proficiency in handling large datasets and crafting unique technological solutions, instilling a deep understanding of how to dissect and interpret vast amounts of information, a skill that later became a cornerstone in his journey towards technology and algorithm development. From August 2017 to September 2019, he served as the Director of Enterprise Sales for Amplifinity, a software development company located in Ann Arbor, MI. From July 2019 to June 2020, he was employed as the Director of Business Development at Clinc, Inc., a software company located in Ann Arbor, MI providing a conversational AI technology in banking. From June 2020 to the present, he serves as the Director of Mergers & Acquisitions and Head of Software Practice at Blue River Financial Group, Bloomfield MI. Blue River is a middle market mergers & acquisitions advisory firm with deep experience representing buy & sell side clients, spanning many industries. At the investment firm’s technology division, he led a transformative era integrating cutting‑edge technological solutions into finance, shaping the approach to buy‑side investment banking. This led to his foray into algorithmic trading, where he spent five years developing proprietary algorithms, further refined his skills, marrying sophisticated technology with practical financial applications. This period was critical in deepening his understanding of market dynamics and crafting algorithms that enhanced trading efficiency while meticulously managing risk ‑ a vital skill in the high‑stakes environment of a hedge fund. His diverse experiences, from managing M&A processes to driving AI in banking business development, have been instrumental in forging a comprehensive understanding of the financial landscape.

Mr. Rutz is a graduate of Michigan State University where he was awarded a Bachelor of Art Degree in 2015 and from Northwood University where he was awarded a Master of Business Administration Degree in 2018. Mr. Rutz is FINRA Series 3 (Commodity Futures Examination) and Series 34 (Foreign Currency Examination) qualified.
PETER KASSEL
PETER KASSEL is a managing member of the General Partner and the Trading Advisor where he will be involved in the trading activities for the Partnership. Mr. Kassel is responsible, alongside Kyle Rutz, for the overall management and direction of the General Partner and the Partnership. Mr. Kassel became a CFTC‑listed Principal and a CFTC‑registered Associated Person of the General Partner on April 9, 2024 and an NFA Associate Member in such capacities on April 9, 2024. Mr. Kassel was additionally listed as a branch manager of the General Partner on April 9, 2024.
From April 2011 to the present, Mr. Kassel has served as a co-founder, COO and CEO of HealthySole, Inckine Village, NV., a life sciences company. Mr. Kassel began HealthySole from an idea he had conceived with a business partner. In that time, the company had grown in terms of reach as well as product scope. Through the 12 years of building the company, he has covered all aspects of operations in a technology/IP‑based firm. He has covered management, operations, growth, IP portfolios, investments, customer relations, corporate structuring, and more.
Mr. Kassel graduated from University of California, Berkeley in May 2008 where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Mr. Kassel is FINRA Series 3 (National Commodity Futures Examination), FINRA Series 34 (Retail Off-Exchange Forex Examination) examination-qualified, and FINRA Series 30 (Futures Branch) examination‑qualified.
LUCA LAURIENZO
LUCA LAURIENZO is a Principal of the General Partner and the Trading Advisor where he will serve as a trader.
From 2013 to the present, Mr. Laurienzo has been self employed operating as an independent contractor serving as a professional trader and trading software developer. Mr. Laurienzo provides custom trading software development for qualified investors, financial institutions, and hedge funds. Mr. Laurienzo possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and an in-depth knowledge of trading systems. He has a deep understanding of key‑related fields such as finance, economics, fundamentals of technical analysis and quantitative technical analysis. Throughout his career as an independent adviser, he has trained, coached and supervised client staff members on strategies operating. He has consulted on how to improve the performance and efficiency of trading systems by identifying and finding workflow issues and alternative solutions. Mr. Laurienzo has working knowledge of multiple programming languages including C++, MQL4/MQL5 and Python.
His areas of expertise include alternative investment strategies and risk management. Aside from being the Head Trader with Quantum Ridge, he also works on a freelance basis for multiple asset management family offices in France and Switzerland, and proprietary trading firms in Europe.
Although Mr. Laurienzo has directed client accounts in the past, the General Partner was unable to obtain support of performance of accounts directed.
From October 2008 to October 2013, Mr. Laurienzo attended Universita Delgi Studi del Molise, Molise, Italy. Mr. Laurienzo became a CFTC-listed Principal of the General Partner on March 14, 2024.
